equip.ng

equip.ng is an ongoing project of mine to resurrect DonnerDash, a delivery service I built for my Freshman year dorm. The idea behind DonnerDash was to enable students to group order from stores like Target or Costco. Equip.ng is a more mature version of the same core idea for my current dorm (Ng Hall, hence "equiping").

Here's how it works:

  1. Students place orders through the website, which are automatically added to my cart on shipt.com.
  2. As soon as the cart hits $35, I am pinged and asked to place the order.
  3. Students can track their order on the equip.ng website.
  4. It's delivered to their dorm room.

I am quite proud of how equip.ng combines a number of technologies that I've enjoyed using in the past: Cloudflare DOs, prelude.so, Stripe, and Convex, among others.

Like most of my projects, equip.ng is also an opportunity for me to explore a new design system. This is the first project using what I would call "stickermorphism," a minimalist, image-heavy, animation-heavy design system that I've employed on a number of projects, most notably Ocho and AppDrop.

I hope to launch equip.ng in a few weeks.
