Trove

trove.at was one of my many explorations with the AT Protocol: what if we could store masses of data in a way that was self-documenting and accessible to the internet? Trove publishes real-world data in realtime on a self-hosted PDS, so any app that uses the ATProto can use it, or follow the firehose for realtime updates. Adapters cover BART GTFS-RT, Caltrain, Open-Meteo weather, USGS earthquakes, US flights (adsb.fi, then FlightRadar24), NBA/MLB/Formula 1, Hacker News, headlines, GitHub Status, exchange rates, CoinGecko, and NASA near-Earth objects.

This died because, well, it turns out that lots of data is hard to represent in this way. But it was a cool project, and maybe something I will pick back up in a smaller quantity at some point in the future.
